Overview

Reid and the team are thrilled to do their first outreach in South America!

The team will travel from November 16-23 to Cartagena, Colombia. Reid will share the Good News of Jesus Christ during three nights of festivals.

The RSA team is participating in a cooperative effort with Luis Palau's Next Generation Alliance. Seven evangelists in addition to Reid will be sharing the Good News at festivals throughout the week.

November 22

The RSA team was able to minister to 3500 people this week; 710 people made decisions to follow Jesus Christ! Reid and the team made some great connections there and the Lord used them to build up the body of Christ as well as reach the lost. Reid and Brett come home tomorrow (Sunday).

Today was another great day serving God in Colombia!   Brett shared at a pastors’ and leaders’ conference during the day and at night we went to a city-wide prayer rally for this weekend's festival.  I am rejoicing over what the Lord did in Cartagena this week.  The churches are thrilled with how the Lord touched so many hearts at the festivals!  This is the first time there has ever been a multiple-outreach event in Cartagena.  During this week RSA partnered with seven other Next Generation Alliance evangelists for a total of eight festival sites across Cartagena!  This week, history was made in Cartagena all for Jesus!  Please pray for all the decision makers!

Please pray for me as tomorrow I will share at a city-wide youth festival during the day and at the festival in the evening!  Pray with me that God will be glorified and that many will give their lives to Jesus!  It is such a joy to serve the Lord Jesus with you.  Thank you!

A storm came through today that brought torrential rains to Cartagena.  Streets looked like raging rivers, but by the evening the rain had completely stopped just in time for the festival.  It is so encouraging to see how God works in so many ways like blessing us with dry weather just in time for the Good News of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed!  Thank you for your prayers!

Today I spoke at conference for pastors and leaders and that went very well.  I am so encouraged and blessed by these humble servants of Christ and how passionate they are to reach their country for Christ.

Just as the water raged through the streets during the day, God's love poured into the crowd tonight at the festival.  I felt like I was back in California’s Bay Area where I grew up as I preached in the district of Cartagena called “San Francisco.”  Tonight was the largest crowd turnout so far and at the invitation to receive Christ, it was breathtaking to see five hundred people commit their lives to Jesus Christ!  I watched in pure joy as a husband, wife, and their two children came forward to receive Christ.  I think of Acts 16:31 where Paul and Silas answer the jailer, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household."   Tonight, children, teenagers, adults, and seniors came forward to commit their lives to Jesus!  Thank you for your prayers and please pray for the pastors and churches as they follow up with the new decision-makers!  Pray also for the decision-makers; many of their families are into witchcraft and the occult.  Please pray for Brett as he shares at the conference tomorrow!  Thank the Lord our team is healthy and doing well!

To God be the glory for what He is doing in Cartagena, Colombia!

Sometimes it is best to learn information after the fact.  Today we found out by the Pastors that last night in Mandela, where we held a festival, was the most dangerous area in ALL of Latin America!  Thank you for praying for me and our team as God truly received the victory last night as many came to Jesus!  It is exciting to be on the front lines taking the Good News to people who are far from God, but rest assured the community is keeping us safe, but most of all the Lord is watching over us.

Tonight our festival was located in a "safer" part of Cartagena at a baseball stadium.  Thank you for your prayers as lightning lit up the night sky all around the festival site, but praise God there was not as single drop of rain.  I shared from Luke 19 about Zaccheus and how Jesus came to seek and save the lost!  At the invitation God touched many lives as people of all ages came forward to give their lives to Jesus!  Thank you for your prayers!  The Lord is moving in Cartagena!

All for Jesus!

To God be the glory for what He is doing in Cartagena, Colombia!  Tonight I preached at our first festival site located in the poorest area of Cartagena.  The average family brings in less than a dollar a day.  Many of the people who live in this section of Cartagena came there to flee from the war and violence in Colombia.  The people here are hungry for the Gospel and the Christians are passionate about reaching their friends, neighbors, classmates, and co-workers for Christ. 

The churches have been working hard in preparation for the festivals and for the follow-up on decision-makers.  I am so encouraged to see pastors excited to reach their city of Cartagena for Christ!  My theme for the message tonight was "How to Find Peace with God."  Many of the people in the audience had experienced effects of war and violence in recent years and found out through the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ they can find peace with God.  Romans 5:1 says, " Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

I was touched to see the crowd filled with people of all ages; and at the invitation to receive Christ, many came forward to give their lives to Jesus.  One man named Juan came forward at the invitation to give his life to Jesus.  God had been working on his heart and Juan knew he needed Christ in his life.  Juan now has peace with God through Jesus Christ.  A young woman named Maria came to the festival searching for hope in her life.  She left filled with hope and forgiveness as she came forward to give her life to Jesus!

Psalm 115:1 says, "Not to us O Lord, not to us but to Your Name be the glory."  Thank you for partnering with me through your prayers and support to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to the precious people of Cartagena!  Please continue to pray...we have leadership conferences on Thursday-Friday and more festivals through Saturday!  Please pray for Juan, Maria, and all the others that gave their lives to Jesus Christ! 

All for Jesus!
