Christina, Romanian decision-maker

All for Jesus!

What an amazing time of ministry our team has had last week!  Thank you for praying for me and the team!  I wanted to highlight a few stories from this mission to encourage you.

In the town of Bacau, the seniors’ event had very low attendance.  Pastor Jahn decided to follow the example of Jesus’ parable in Matthew 22:1-14.  He went out to the street and brought 7 people in to the event!  On Friday, 12-year-old Christina (pictured above) came to the luncheon in Marasesti.  She accepted Christ, as did her mother!

At the teen event in Roman, Pastor Sergio shared that a young man named Ravena had been struggling for weeks to make a decision for Christ although he knew that was exactly what he needed to do.  Ravena invited 11 friends to the event.  The fight for Ravena's soul was evident; but in the end, Christ got the victory as Ravena gave his life to Christ along with 8 of his friends.  Praise God!

Thank you for partnering with me to reach the precious people of Romania with the Good News of Jesus Christ!

Brett and Maria at Bacau medical clinic

I led an elderly woman from the medical clinic to Christ at around 4:55PM just as we were closing.  Her name is Maria.  She adopted a child but lost him at age 10 to another family.  She has no family.

I spoke with her for about 15 minutes and she decided she wanted to give her life to Jesus.  She said she is very happy now. When I mentioned that she should read the Bible everyday and start in the book of John, she said she would read it today. I was thinking she would read the first chapter, but she said she would read the entire book today!

I could tell the joy of the Lord was finally in Maria’s life.  Just think, we almost closed the clinic at 3:00 PM today because we were able to treat everyone waiting.  However, several members offered to stay because the clinic was advertised to stay open until 5.

October 8 Update

God continues to move in a mighty way here in Romania.  Yesterday, Reid spoke to 238 people at 4 events.  The angels were rejoicing in heaven as 142 people entered into a personal relationship with Christ!   It was a special day for me as Reid gave me the opportunity to speak at a women's event and, for the first time, give the invitation.  There were 20 unbelievers in attendance, to God be the glory, 17 women made a commitment for Christ!

At the teen event in Roman, Pastor Sergio shared that a young man named Ravena had been struggling for weeks to make a decision for Christ although he knew that was exactly what he needed to do.  Ravena invited 11 friends to the event.  I watched as the fight for Ravena's soul was visibly evident; but in the end, Christ got the victory as Ravena gave his life to Christ along with 8 of his friends.  Praise God!

RSA has been blessed by a wonderful team of medical professionals, many of whom have traveled with RSA on past trips.  Yesterday, they treated 125 patients in the small town of Pascani.  The have treated 209 patients to date.

Laura Vogt with Romanian Woman

It is so exciting to see how God is working in and through our team here in Romania. Today was the first ever RSA Medical Clinic in Europe.  84 patients were treated.  Reid is calling this the double impact mission.  We are reaching people medically and with the message of Jesus Christ.  Please pray daily as the medical team is ministering and Reid is preaching the message multiple times each day.  Already we have ministered to over 900 people with 233 decisions for Jesus Christ.

There is a battle over the souls of the people in Romania.  During the youth event, the mayor of the city sent a leader up to Reid during the invitation to ask if he could speak, Reid told the mayor quietly that he would have to wait.  God got the glory as 26 teens gave their hearts to Christ.

October 5 Update

Today it was windy and rained hard all day.  Brett, Rebecca, Laura and I went to the Gypsy church.  It was a very small congregation and they didn't have an interpreter so we waited an hour for one to arrive.  I then gave a condensed testimony and Brett preached.  It is amazing to me that even though we work in the same office, God gave all three of us (Brett, Reid and I) the same message of hope and healing to share with the Romanian people.

We then had a coffee event at a town hall for medical professionals.  Laura Vogt gave an awesome testimony followed by Reid giving the message.  Several gave their lives to Christ.

Reid, Nigel (from Luis Palau Europe) and I then left for the Women's event.  69 women attended.  Reid decided that he would stop half way through his message and I would give my testimony about the years I went through depression and how God healed me.  Reid continued on and gave the invitation.  It was great to get to speak with Reid and the Lord really blessed it as 35 women gave their lives to Christ.

One woman named Katrina shared with me following the event that she identified with my testimony.  She is going through a tough year.  Her grandmother who raised her had died, her mother had breast cancer and is in the hospital after getting into an accident yesterday, and her husband has fallen away from the Lord.  She found encouragement that there is hope in Jesus. I encouraged her that “even when you don't feel God, he is with you, carrying you through each struggle.”  I then prayed for her.  Many women shared that they appreciated me sharing my heart with them; the truth is it was all my pleasure.  I have been working with Reid for two and a half years now, and I can truly say that tonight was one of the most fulfilling moments of that entire time, actually getting to be a part of bringing the message of hope and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Please continue to pray for us in the days ahead.  Tomorrow Reid, Nigel and I will head to Pascani (two hours away) for three events.  Please also pray for our Medical Team as they work within the legal boundaries of the Romanian government.

All for Jesus,
Teresa Fiedler

October 4 Update

Today I talked to Brett, who shared that 55 children made decisions for Jesus Christ at the event this afternoon!  Praise the Lord!  He wasn’t sure what the statistics were from the college/teen event yet.

Tomorrow morning, the team will break into smaller groups and minister in three different churches.  Brett found out today that he will be preaching at the church he visits.

The medical team begins their clinics on Monday for five days in a row.  The first two outreach events were today and continue through the 10th.

If the Lord is prompting you to sponsor an outreach event, it’s not too late.  Please click here to learn more.
